Hootie & the Blowfish will be coming to the Hersheypark Stadium on Friday, August 30, 2019 at 7:30 PM.

They announced this morning that they will return to full-time touring in 2019 with special guests, the Barenaked Ladies.

Rucker, Mark Bryan, Jim Sonefeld and Dean Felber, who still play together a few times a year for charity events, decided it was time to go out on the road and bring with them some new music. Lead singer Darius Rucker has carved out a successful country music career, with hits like "Wagon Wheel" and "For the First Time".

More information about shows for the "Group Therapy Tour" can be found on the band's website.

Tickets for both performances will be sold through www.etix.com, by calling 800-514-3849 or at the State Fairgrounds Ticket Office during limited hours 10 a.m.to 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7.

So it is with Hootie & the Blowfish.

"Having those shows at fraternity houses, clubs and dive bars under our belt prepared us for success to a degree", Felber said. "We've never stopped being a band".

The band scored most of its more recognizable hits off 1994's "Cracked Rear View" album. "For the first time in almost 20 years we'll be coming back to Columbia, South Carolina where it all began", before Rucker interjects, "And we're ready to rock".
