Fury anxious Wilder is 'running' away from a rematch

Wilder's co-manager Shelly Finkel confirmed The Bronze Bomber is "very interested" in a unification fight with Joshua, and the WBA "super", IBF and WBO champion welcomed the challenge in a fiery statement on Instagram.

Wilder twice knocked down Fury, but otherwise struggled against the Briton, who believed he should have won and was outraged with the judges' controversial failure to separate the pair. I'm just a fighter, I'm not the judges.

Fight statistics show Tyson Fury convincingly out-punched Deontay Wilder by a huge margin in their heavyweight boxing showdown.

Fury largely outboxed Wilder for the first half of the bout until a short right hand caught him on the temple and dropped him early in Round 6. They said it wouldn't go ahead - well it did go ahead, didn't it? "Both guys put on a tremendous fight", Deas said. I genuinely feel sorry for Tyson. You can't take anything away from me or Wilder and you can't let the decision take away from how good a fight it was. "Now, Fury's the people's champion".

But Joshua has hit back at Finkel's claims and has suggested that Wilder wanted to face Fury because it would be an easier fight. Should Wilder fill the void, he is given a 2/1 chance with William Hill, making him the underdog against 4/11 favourite Joshua.

While the fight played out exactly in favor of each fighter's strengths as Fury controlled by boxing with constant feints and awkward angles while Wilder (40-0-1, 39 KOs) picked his spots to land heavy counter shots which threatened to end the fight. Fury is rated 11/10 against Joshua, according to Paddy Power, with the same company once again siding with AJ at 8/11.

Anthony Joshua labelled Deontay Wilder a "fool" and called out the American and Tyson Fury following the duo's contentious Los Angeles draw.

He was expected to face Dillian Whyte in a rematch of their 2015 classic, but the silver WBC titlist will now face Dereck Chisora on December 22.
