Annette Bening appears as the Kree who rescued Danvers so she could live "longer, stronger, superior".

And yet, her memories are faint. "I have a lot of them in my life, so to be able to bring that onscreen with someone who's just so insane talented and smart and handsome and wonderful and is doing her own part to make sure that there are revolutions in a movie that are her own, that she's creating, is just awesome". We come to know that she was in the air force and was brought to life from the dead for a greater goal. "Something in my past is the key to all of this", Danvers says, sure that she will find out who she truly is. And I'm so grateful for that character that she created, and now we're just kind of following the breadcrumb trail that she made, you know?

What does this have to do with the MCU, you ask? Gee, I wonder what that war could be? The movie is an all-new adventure that follows the journey of Carol Danvers (Larson) as she becomes one of the universe's most powerful heroes. In comics, Carol heads off into space to run the Alpha Flight space station and Chewie ends up going along for the ride. When we sat down on set with Brie Larson-the actor who's bringing her to life-she was quick to gush about the love story at the center of the film. Fury is a cat person, after all.

In just over a decade, Brie Larson has gone from an Avril Lavigne knock-off to indie darling to an Oscar victor to playing "as powerful a character" as the Marvel Cinematic Universe has ever seen. She's left her earthly life behind to join an elite Kree military team called Starforce, led by Jude Law's enigmatic commander.

Captain Marvel is premiering in theaters starting March 8, 2019 in UK, Canada and US.

Captain Marvel releases a couple of months before Avengers 4.
