"Sandra and Andy are the ideal choices to host this world-class event", said Paul Telegdy and George Cheeks, the co-chairmen of NBC Entertainment, in a statement.

Oh is now riding high on the critical and ratings success of her new series, BBC America's "Killing Eve".

Black Panther, Crazy Rich Asians, A Star is Born and The Favourite are among the films expected to land nominations, while The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Killing Eve, The Handmaid's Tale and The Good Place are considered front-runners in the television/streaming categories.

'Both Golden Globe Award recipients have continually showcased their talents in film and television, and we can't wait to see what their undeniable chemistry will bring to the Golden Globes stage'. Samberg won two Globes in 2014 for "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" as a producer for best television series - musical or comedy, and best actor in a television series - musical or comedy.

The co-hosts for the 76th Annual Golden Globe Awards have been announced!

The HFPA changed the title of the honorary position previous year from Miss Golden Globe to Golden Globe Ambassador, seeking to make the position more gender-neutral. "This innovative pairing sets the ideal tone for the most entertaining awards celebration of the year".

The 76th Annual Golden Globe Awards air Sunday, Jan. 9 at 8/7c on NBC. In recent years, the Golden Globes has repeatedly succeeded where the Oscars hasn't, largely because of a looser attitude towards the night, and a willingness to bet on the slightly left-of-centre with regards to hosting choices. The news comes just a little over a month before the actual award show. "Brooklyn Nine-Nine", on which he stars as Detective Jake Peralta, was canceled by Fox in May after five seasons.
