On Wednesday, a press conference was held at MetLife Stadium, and some big announcements were made regarding which cities will be hosting teams, and which stadiums they will be playing at.

The St. Louis team will play in The Dome at America's Center, where the St. Louis Rams played in downtown St. Louis.

The XFL is officially coming to Seattle.

Los Angeles, the New York-New Jersey metropolitan area and Dallas were among the eight cities and venues chosen to be the home sites when the XFL launches its inaugural season in February 2020. This online shop was initially re-opened after Vince McMahon's announced months ago, but they have added new items in preparation for added interest.

McMahon said there is a long term financial commitment to the XFL, and that the game play will be innovative and exciting. Luck says they want to listen to fans and say they already have great ideas from them. It will also cater to families looking for affordable ticket options. Player salaries will be "very competitive", and rosters will be drawn from all available players, including those who have been cut from National Football League teams, Luck said.

The NFL Cardinals played in St. Louis from 1960 to 1987 before relocating to Arizona.

As CBS Sports first reported in January, the controversial professional league, which originated as a joint venture between WWE and NBC, is set for a 2020 reboot, complete with eight league-owned franchises. The AAF also has eight teams and a 10-week schedule but has targeted mid-size markets.

The XFL was originally founded in 1999, but closed after one season.
