I was waiting for Van Persie and Bergkamp - Klopp lauds Arsenal attack

Arsenal are expecting to finish in the Champions League places this season, meaning they'll nearly certainly have to finish ahead of both Manchester United and Tottenham. That might have been derisive to Arsene Wenger's Arsenal of late, but for Unai Emery's Arsenal that statement reflects the talent in the team, Emery's own philosophies and the possibilities that lay ahead.

"Their development was to last season play in the final of the Champions League".

But the fightback extended Arsenal's unbeaten streak to 14 games and showed they are ready to compete with England's top sides again.

Streaking English titans Arsenal and Liverpool produced one of the most riveting games of the Premier League season when they met in London on Saturday, so perhaps it was fitting that both teams respective unbeaten streaks remained intact following the 1-1 tie.

Liverpool are capable of flying out of the blocks and winning games within 20 minutes; their high-pressing game is no secret any more but matching that intensity is a huge task for any side, let alone one that has sleepwalked into the opening stages of most recent games.

Leno was given his chance after Cech picked up a hamstring injury during Arsenal's 2-0 victory over Watford in October and made the most of his chance to impress. Liverpool are one of the only two teams in the league, whose xGA (expected goals against) are in single digits.

"We have to make sure they don't score, which will be a big challenge because they have all the different tools to do so. Now, for us, it's a good, big example of how you can improve also in your way". Shkodran Mustafi was impressive against Roberto Firmino, Granit Xhaka looked like a disciplined performer and Hector Bellerin has added defensive discipline to his game under Emery's guidance.

The beginning of the second half was more of the same, with Arsenal dominating the ball and Liverpool being forced to absorb pressure and look for opportunities to counter-attack.

Laurent Koscielny is still not up to speed following an Achilles injury, while midfielder Matteo Guendouzi is suspended and Mohamed Elneny (thigh) is also missing. Other than the former Gunner, Alexander-Oxlade Chamberlain, rest of the squad is fit and well rested. The midfield three will be comprised of Wijnaldum, Milner and Fabinho. In defence, Joe Gomez might be preferred over the error-prone Dejan Lovren.

"You're giving managers a bit too much credit if you think we have that much influence".
