Houston Rockets and Carmelo Anthony Part Ways

The Rockets entered this season as arguably the biggest threat to knock off the Warriors in the Western Conference, but Houston instead owns a 6-7 record through 13 games.

The Houston Rockets have officially announced that they're parting ways with veteran forward Carmelo Anthony, following a brief stint in which Melo only appeared in 10 games.

The Warriors, who were without Stephen Curry for the fourth straight game, have lost two of their last three.

"We're banged up a little bit physically and right now we're banged up spiritually", Golden State coach Steve Kerr said.

Things didn't go the Warriors' way on Thursday night, and Rockets point guard Chris Paul even got a laugh off at Golden State's expense during game action. Both teams cleared their benches a couple of minutes after that. He shot just over 37 percent from the field, including about 34 percent on 3-pointers.

We've already heard a report on what Draymond Green said to Kevin Durant during their heated argument that ended with Green receiving a one-game suspension - there were expletives and talk about how Durant's potential free agency was an issue. But at the same time, I'm going to be a better player. 'I wear my emotions on my sleeve. I play with that same emotion.

Emotions got the best of both of them, but Green put the organization in a hard spot. You know, sometimes it gets the best of me and it don't work in my favor.I'm gonna live with that, because it works to my favor to the good as my resume speaks and to this team's resume speaks.

It's good to see the Warriors return to their lighthearted attitude, especially after losing to the Houston Rockets 107-86, and especially after Draymond Green and Kevin Durant got into a spat that saw Green suspended.
