Six iconic and highly customizable Diablo character classes will be available in Diablo Immortal-Barbarian, Crusader, Demon Hunter, Monk, Necromancer, and Wizard-each with new powers and abilities, with more playable classes planned for future updates. The partnership with NetEase is another indication that Diablo Immortal may not have been targeted at NA/EU.

Diablo Immortal is a brand new Diablo game that takes place between Diablo II and Diablo III. Visit vast social hubs like Westmarch and conduct business with local merchants before setting off on your next adventure.

Blizzard is the home to some of the biggest game franchises of all time: Warcraft, Diablo, Starcraft, and more recently Overwatch.

The announcement came with some official gameplay and it will be interesting to see how Blizzard adopts the game to a touch-screen format.

If you think I'm being a bit bombastic with my initial rhetoric over Diablo Immortal, the cinematic trailer above is now sitting at less than 5% likes at the time of this post going live. There was no announcement of a Diablo 2 or Diablo remaster.

It's clear that Blizzard has put a lot of work into making Diablo Immortal, and for a mobile game, it visually looks fantastic.

The news comes from reddit user /u/justMaku, who revealed that game supports three amiibo - a default/generic character, a treasure goblin, and a demon. (An iOS version of the game was also announced, though no iOS listing for the game yet exists.) Blizzard did not announce information about the game's pricing structure or release window. "These are very exciting times-we now have multiple teams working on different Diablo projects and we can't wait to tell you all about them. when the time is right, the company said".
