With the novel solution, Xiaomi creates a phone that's mostly all-screen up front without any notch. Users can use it to take a self-portrait, open the app drawer, make a call, and do several other tasks by sliding up the slider.

Xiaomi claimed that the slider mechanism which utilizes neodymium magnets has a life expectancy of 300,000 cycles. Using AI to combine two shots in one, they actually rate nearly as high in the mobile photography benchmark DxOMark the Huawei P20 Pro: we will have to test this ourselves, but the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 a 103 score vs 109 of the Huawei.

Running on a Snapdragon 845 processor at 2.8GHz with up to 10GB of memory - a world's first - the new Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 is a formidable machine. Let's look at the specifications, features, and the expected pricing of the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite since the global variants of the smartphone could land in India soon. On another hand, the 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB models will go for CNY 3599 (~RM 2161) and CNY 3999 (~RM 2402) respectively.

Aforesaid, the new variant will be available at Rs 19,999, but as an introductory offer, Xiaomi will be selling the phone for Rs 17,999. The bottom bezel's size has been reduced by 4.46mm compared to the Mi MIX 2S, while the phone also comes with a customized antenna design which allowed Xiaomi to reduce antenna space in the hpone by 72-percent.

It is equipped with a 12Mp + 12M rear-facing and 24MP+2MP front-facing dual-lens cameras, which largely elevate its selfie-taking capabilities.

You'll need to pay 3,999 yuan ($575) if you'd prefer 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

The device joins the LG G7 ThinQ, OnePlus 6, and Samsung Galaxy 9 lineup in being powered by Qualcomm's premium Snapdragon 845 mobile platform, a chip created to be ultra fast with top-of-the-line performance.

Featuring metal casing with a glass back, the newly launched Mi MIX 3 also supports wireless charging. The 12-megapixel + 20-megapixel dual camera setup resides on the rear shell of the phone. Video-wise, the phone can also shoot 960 fps slow-mo and 4K at 60 fps.

This starting spec will run RMB 3,299 (~$475), but if that's not enough RAM for you, you can upgrade to an 8GB model for RMB 3,599 (~$518). Like the first Mi Mix, rather than a glass back panel, Xiaomi is using ceramic.

If you haven't guessed from the pricing yet, this phone is destined for China at launch, with other markets to be announced later.
