The Avatar Editor lets you choose from a wide range of body types and clothes, while the new Avatar Store lets you obtain more Avatar items, including licensed designs from Halo, Gears of War, and more. If you have a TV that supports the latest version of Dolby Vision and an Xbox One S or Xbox One X, navigate to Settings on your console. Microsoft is launching a new Xbox Skill for Alexa and Cortana that will allow users to control their console through an Alexa or Cortana-powered device.

The Alexa integration is quite a big deal as Amazon has been an early leader in the digital assistant space, and for a limited-time consumers in the USA who buy a qualified Xbox One S or Xbox One X bundle at Amazon.com will get a new Amazon Echo Dot along their purchase. They're no Miitomo and there's not much avatar-avatar interaction possible, but expressing a little personality to represent you without plastering your face all over Xbox Live never hurt anyone. This Xbox One X bundle packages Microsoft's UHD HDR beast with a matching Charcoal version of the Amazon Echo Dot - and, of course, National Basketball Association 2K19.

Microsoft and Amazon are partnering up for a new Xbox One bundle package.

Once your new toys arrive in the mail, you'll be able to use your voice to do things such as turn on or off your console, open a specific game or app, take screenshots, adjust its volume, and more.

Another highlight of the October 2018 Update is support for Dolby Vision HDR video streaming. Dolby Vision on Netflix with a premium subscription will be supported at launch with more Dolby Vision apps adding support in the coming months.

Xbox Narrator can now speak five additional languages: Spanish, Portuguese, Polish, Swedish and Dutch. Then, go to Display and sound Video output Video modes Allow Dolby Vision. Don't have one? Don't even have an Xbox One? There's also a new Australian version of the English language Narrator. Microsoft hasn't announced the features for that though, so there should be more news soon.
