Samsung Electronics Co. plans to start sales of a silver-colored Galaxy Note 9 as early as this week, industry sources said Tuesday, apparently to promote the device amid the launch of new iPhones and other rival products. The hardware tests were done using the Rohde & Schwarz measurement equipment.

It is always a conversation that you will have with your wallet, but PCMag provided a little more data to tip the scales in favor of the iPhone XS.

This bundle is available for the Ocean Blue and Lavender Purple Galaxy Note 9 models and includes the 128GB/6GB device bundled with Samsung's latest IconX earbuds and a fast Qi wireless charging stand. Apple this time around claimed its iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max to pack the 'most durable glass ever on a smartphone, ' and to everyone's surprise the iPhone XS, XS Max has actually survived an 11-foot drop test on a concrete by Tom's Guide. The feature also helps boost the device's performance when the signal conditions are weak, the report notes. But as signal gets weaker, the XS Max really competes, showing that it's well tuned.

The first versions of the iPhone XS firmware may, in some places, be causing trouble with signal reception.

The iPhone XS shows, on average, 6.6Mbps faster download speeds on all USA carriers than the iPhone X, according to Speedtest Intelligence. The iPhone X on AT&T and T-Mobile used Intel modems while Verizon and Sprint versions used Qualcomm modems. In Canada, that difference jumps to a massive 20.2Mbps. As a refresher the S Pen for the Galaxy Note 9 uses Bluetooth Low-Energy so the stylus can be used as a remote control for presentations and operating the camera.

The phones were tested on a hardware level by Cellular Insights as well as how good they performed in real-world LTE tests, which were conducted in the USA and Canada in the first week of September 24, 2018. To them, we say: Don't return your phone, because we bet a fix is coming.
