The Belgium global now has eight goals from 10 appearances since former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri succeeded Conte in the summer.

But Sarri, a 59-year-old heavy-smoking former banker, has revitalised Fabregas.

This was only Barkley's fifth league start since his £15-million (US$20 million) transfer from Everton in January, a move that had been put on hold from the previous August while the player continued his recovery from a serious hamstring injury. I'm learning a lot from here, it's really interesting how he works and I'm really looking forward to working for a long time with him.

Fabregas' Chelsea contract expires at the end of this season, though. But I'd love to stay at the club.

Italian boss Sarri added: "I am happy with him and for him, for the national team". It's what I like and how I see football.

For Chelsea, Hazard has netted seven in the league, with Pedro scoring three and Morata netting two.

There are a few defenders in European football right now who can stand tall and match Eden Hazard stride for stride. We've had great success, won many things.

But even this great player might sometimes find it hard to get back defenders and so he was asked as to who is the best defender in the Premier League.

"I feel sensations under Sarri that I never thought I would feel again", said Fabregas, who has played under Arsene Wenger, Pep Guardiola, Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte in the past. He has quality - very important quality from the physical point of view.

Barkley set up Hazard's goal, tenaciously winning the ball back in midfield before threading in the Belgian with a superb pass.

"The only difference for them to come closer to the likes of Manchester City and trying to challenge them, and Liverpool, and anybody else in this League that is going after the title, is they need more than just Hazard to score goals".

'I've had to bide my time, ' Barkley added.

MF N'Golo Kante, 8 - A dynamic performance that saw Kante covering Jorginho's back and linking up well with Hazard and Barkley to help Chelsea maintain their high-press.
