"And, yes, it is brilliant for them to go into an worldwide break sitting on that result for the next two weeks".

The agent of Zinedine Zidane denies that his client is in line to replace Jose Mourinho as Manchester United boss.

"It's not good for the heart when it is like this but it is satisfying to win and the way we did in the second half was the way we should always play football", the Belgian told MUTV.

None of them will be getting carried away.

Other than Mourinho, the man with the heaviest weight on his shoulders in the stadium was Alexis Sanchez, whose form has been heavily scrutinised as of late.

The United boss was recorded on camera appearing to speak in Portuguese as he walked off the Old Trafford pitch following the comeback win.

Yoshinori Muto, a summer signing making his first start for Newcastle, doubled the lead three minutes later with a low strike past David De Gea's right foot after controlling the ball in the mixer.

But Juan Mata sparked a comeback with a 70th-minute free-kick. We promised we would give absolutely everything without any fear, without any pressure, just the pressure of giving everything and of course they gave everything.

"Sacked in the morning", sang 3,000 Geordies in the direction of Mourinho throughout the game.

"It's ridiculous talk to say they don't play for the manager, they play for the club".

Given the state of relations between the board and manager at Old Trafford, it was the closest thing to a public show of support that José Mourinho was going to get.

As with Real Madrid and Chelsea, Mourinho is mostly to blame for yet another affair ending badly in the third year. "I don't want that". This is what a football club is.

"I beat Liverpool at Anfield 4-0 and I was amazed to hear the stadium singing Liverpool songs".

Mourinho also added that the criticisms affected some of his players but hailed them for showing character in the second half. United had rubbished the reports when they came out, too.

While the grand old stadium was rocking, Mourinho barely reacted to Sanchez's victor.

"We did so well for 70 minutes so it's a pity", said his opposite number Rafa Benitez.

"At half-time, we were losing 2-0 and the fans were magnificent to the team and that is fantastic".

Sanchez has scored one goal and made one assist in six Premier League appearances this season, but he has only started four of the Red Devils' eight top flight outings.
