Ardent Donald Trump supporter Kanye West visited the White House on Thursday for a sit-down chat with the president.

In his latest blow to Jeff Sessions, President Trump said he was willing to overrule the attorney general on prison reform. West said. "When we make everything in China and not America, we're cheating on our country".

At the lunch, "topics of discussions will include manufacturing resurgence in America, prison reform, how to prevent gang violence", White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said.

Ike Barinholtz, who directed the upcoming Trump-inspired political satire "The Oath", said the meeting was inappropriate given the hurricane that is wrecking havoc on the east coast.

"This behavior by Trump didn't start yesterday", he said, pointing out that Brown, 82, had a meeting with the then-president-elect in Trump Tower after the 2016 election.

Mr. West didn't dismiss a possible presidential run of his own, but said he'd only consider it "after 2024", or after two full terms of a Trump presidency.

"There was something about putting this hat on that made me feel like Superman", West told Mr Trump during the 10-minute speech.

At least Trump handled West's bad idea. dare I say, gracefully?

Holding out his phone, West showed Trump a picture of a hydrogen-powered plane that he thought should replace Air Force One.

"That was quite something", Trump said at the end West freewheeling soliloquy.

But he did not identify with her campaign slogan, "I'm With Her", because it "just didn't make me feel, as a guy that didn't get to see my dad all the time, like a guy that could play catch with his son", West said.

Kardashian West also attended a White House roundtable discussion last month focused on the clemency process.

"I like him a lot", Trump said Thursday in an interview on the TV show Fox and Friends.

Taking questions from reporters, the rapper also voiced concern about stop-and-frisk policing.

"He's been a terrific guy", Trump told reporters of West Tuesday afternoon on the White House South Lawn before departing for Iowa.

"You don't have to agree with [T] rump but the mob can't make me not love him", West wrote on Twitter."We are both dragon energy".

West said many people believe that, if you're black, you have to be a Democrat and said he was pressured not to wear his red hat.
