Jimmy Butler Erupted With Mean-Spirited Trash Talk At Timberwolves Practice

The Miami Heat are pressing the Minnesota Timberwolves to keep talking and eventually finalize a trade centered on Jimmy Butler, according to a report from ESPN.

Sources told Wojnarowski that Butler was emotional and targeted head coach Tom Thibodeau and general manager Scott Layden, as well as teammates Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns.

"You (bleeping) need me".

Jimmy Butler was in the building for the Minnesota Timberwolves' practice session today - and he reportedly "left teammates and coaches largely speechless" as he dominated the gym in every way.

Butler and his camp believe the Timberwolves' asking price for the 29-year-old star is too high, and that's why a deal hasn't been made yet.

Butler, meanwhile, doesn't sound like he's backing down from his trade request, even if he's still under contract with the Timberwolves for one more year. Since then, he hadn't reported to Wolves practice or participated in preseason games until Wednesday. Yes, Butler will return, but there will be plenty of drama.

While Butler attending practice might seem like a good sign for his future with the Timberwolves, perhaps it's just the opposite.

Thibodeau got his heart's desire on Wednesday, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN - and he got the full Butler with it. Butler is said to prefer the Heat over all other potential destinations.

The Los Angeles Clippers and Houston Rockets also haven't given up on the idea of landing Butler in a trade, according to multiple sources and reports.
