Google held its annual hardware event today and announced the new Pixel 3, Google Home Hub, Pixel Slate, and new Pixel charging station. "The regular Pixel 3 is still decent sized, being bigger than last year's Pixel 2 at 5.5", and that screen area remains gloriously notch-free. But here's the thing-not everything launched at the event will come to India. Google Pixel 3 XL & Pixel 3 Officially Launched; Prices Starts From USD 799. But it lacks a zoom lens on either side, something available on some iPhones and Samsung phones. The larger Pixel 3 XL might be a big step in the wrong direction where design is concerned, but only if you're among a small group of vocal Android fans who hate the iPhone X style notch at the top of the phone's display. Both the devices come with the same spec sheet which includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, 4GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB storage. The Note 9 has 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 512GB internal storage with microSD card support for almost unlimited storage. The Pixel 3 is backed by a 2915mAh battery while the Pixel 3 XL packs a 3430mAh battery.

What's surprising is how few new truly exciting features the Pixel 3 XL actually has. Both phones have upgraded cameras with AI-powered features. Even if Google wants to give this level of security to the masses, the problem is that people don't want to make the effort to secure themselves: In January, at the Usenix Enigma security conference, a Google engineer told attendees that only 10% of Gmail users use two-factor authentication to make life harder for hackers.

Google Photos uses machine learning to only select the best photos.

Although Google's Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphones are set to dominate proceedings, it has also been heavily speculated the tech firm could debut a new tablet. In case you are interested, the Pixel 3 supports fast charging as well as any wireless charger. The company now sells Chromecast Audio dongle as dedicated separate audio streaming device.

The Pixel Slate is also the first Chrome OS device to offer a built-in fingerprint sensor, embedded inside the power button. The device includes double front-facing speakers, supposed to output really good sound.

A new Home View feature, activated by swiping down on the display shows the status of all your connected devices on a single screen, letting you easily switch off lights or smart plugs, or turn music down. The Pixel Slate will start at $599; a keyboard costs $199 more and a stylus another $99. The updated app launcher on the device comes with Google Assistant integrated into the quick launcher. The Home Hub can connect and interact with smart home devices via voice and touch controls and can control and schedule them according to your routines. Unlike those speakers, the Hub has a display to show you useful information.

Google Home Hub is Google Assistant with a face, and is described by Google's vice-president of product management, Diya Jolly, as a something that creates a more "helpful, thoughtful home".
