Texas coach Tom Herman was the Ohio State assistant with Zach Smith during a visit to a Miami-area strip club in 2014. The former Ohio State Buckeyes wide receivers coach, who was sacked amid domestic violence allegations, has unleashed a furious Twitter tantrum on social media directed at the media.

University spokesman Chris Davey told The Dispatch that Herman, now the head coach at Texas, is the coach mentioned but unnamed in the 23-page final report of the investigation into football coach Urban Meyer's handling of domestic abuse accusations against Smith.

The Buckeyes kick off their 2018 campaign on Saturday, Sept. 1 against Oregon State.

According to the report, the $600 was Smith's money and he didn't asked to be reimbursed by the school. She said she does not remember saying that.

"No way. I would have never said that", she said Wednesday night. Courtney confirmed on Wednesday that she met with deFries days after Zach was arrested in 2009, and she previously described the meeting to college football reporter Brett McMurphy. Courtney Smith said she and her attorney also have been denied access to the detailed police reports from the 2015 incident.

Courtney said she decided not to press charges against Zach after he assaulted her in 2009 following a conversation with Hiram deFries, a member of Urban Meyer's staff whom Meyer has referred to as his "life coach".

Those details emerged from a trove of documents made public by Ohio State in the wake of Smith's firing in July and Meyer's related three-game suspension following an outside investigation. She told police that Zach Smith "threw her into a wooden stair" in January 2015 and "cut her hand open with a tin can" in October 2014.

"No way", Courtney said.
