Until then, here's the official trailer and poster for Mary Poppins Returns direct from Walt Disney Pictures. And let me just say: This woman is practically ideal in every way.

Disney has revealed the whimsical, lovely full-length trailer for the new Mary Poppins Returns movie, starring Emily Blunt as a young Mary Poppins.

The film also stars Ben Whishaw as Michael Banks; Emily Mortimer as Jane Banks; Julie Walters as the Banks' housekeeper Ellen; Pixie Davies, Nathanael Saleh and introducing Joel Dawson as the Banks' children, with Colin Firth as Fidelity Fiduciary Bank's William Weatherall Wilkins; and Meryl Streep as Mary's eccentric cousin, Topsy. Jane is fighting for workers' rights and Michael is a widow, raising his three children in the original house on Cherry Tree Lane, which they're in danger of losing.

The first full trailer for Mary Poppins Returns, much like the magical nanny herself, has floated down to earth just when we need her most (my Twitter feed was looking bleak, y'all).

Mary Poppins Returns draws its inspiration from the follow up novels Travers penned following the original 1934 book. With Emily Blunt playing the iconic Mary Poppins and Broadway legend Lin-Manuel Miranda playing the children and Mary's friend, Jack, the sequel was certainly stacked with talent in its male and female leads. In homage to the first movie, the trailer gives the world its first look at a half-animated, half live-action sequence featuring dancing penguins, underwater adventures, and a tap dance number performed by original cast member Dick Van Dyke.

Mary Poppins Returns is directed by Rob Marshall.

Blunt stars as the titular Mary in the new film which is set two decades after the original.
