Since Blackout is the mode we know the least about, the trailer shows off nearly all the features from the mode, and it does so in an action-packed, adrenaline-filled two-minutes.

Activision and Treyarch have released the debut gameplay trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII's new battle royale mode "Blackout". Previously, players got their first look at the mode's map, which looks quite large.

Seeing the map pieces in action is even more exciting than when Activision and Treyarch first made the announcement, and the trailer has many other details that are equally exciting to see on the screen. This goes well beyond the tiny teaser we saw a month ago, and gives us a much better idea of the rhythm and style of the mode.

For those that don't know, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's Blackout Beta is set to be released on PlayStation 4 on September 10, 2018, with Xbox One and PC players getting their hands on it four days later, on September 14, 2018. Starting on Monday, September 10th, the Blackout Private Beta will begin exclusively on PS4 for all the players who preordered the game.

Treyarch has also announced that players will be able to fight as their favorite characters from across the franchise in the mode, and we've already spotted some familiar faces in the new footage, including Alex Mason from the original Black Ops game. PlayStation 4 owners get a taste of the game mode first, ahead of the full game release on October 12 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
