Everything pointed to a disappointing and frustrating start to the season for Green Bay as they were down to their hated rivals and also saw Aaron Rodgers get carted off with a left knee injury in the second quarter.

The defense was clearly the better unit for the Bears, dominating the entire first half and sending Aaron Rodgers to the locker room on a cart with 9:05 to play in the first half.

Nineteen catches, 299 yards and three touchdowns.

Aaron Rodgers didn't just come back.

"You could talk about potential all day, " Mack said. Though he was essentially playing on one good leg, Rodgers was renewed in the second half. Several Packers players agreed this was the loudest they've ever heard the crowd at Lambeau Field.

Rodgers was hit in the backfield on a third-down play and struggled to get up, prompting trainers to bring him to the medical tent for evaluation.

"It was painful", Rodgers said.

In the end Aaron Rodgers did his thing, leading the Packers back to win the contest 24-23. The Packers listed him as questionable at halftime, but minutes later he was back on the field throwing warmup tosses. He was 17-of-23 passing for 278 yards with three touchdowns after he returned. Then Rodgers completed the comeback as he found a wide open Cobb over the middle, who raced downfield for a 75-yard touchdown to give Green Bay the one-point lead. He also stripped the ball for a turnover in the red zone off Kizer in the second quarter.

And just like that, Rodgers tied the largest comeback win of his National Football League career, according to ESPN Stats & Information.

The Packers traded Rodgers' backup last season, Brett Hundley, to the Seattle Seahawks last month for a sixth-round pick.

Lightning forced a halt again midway through the third quarter, and the second stoppage lasted just over two hours. It was 20-0 when he returned.

That Rodgers has chewed up the Bears in recent years is certainly part of the reason Mack is now in Chicago.

"He looked like he was hurting a little bit, " Mack said. "But then it tightened up there in the fourth quarter". I'll say as you go through those, you know, a lot of discussions happen - more than deals get done.
