The new A12 bionic chip can handle 6 trillion operations a second, compared to the old A11's 500 billion operations - which translates to apps that "launch up to 30 percent faster" and "even better selfie scenes", according to Apple senior director Kaiann Drance.

None of the actual pages for these products are (or were) live on the official Apple website.

Apple is expected to showcase three new iPhones on Wednesday, including its biggest and most expensive model yet, as the company seeks to widen the product's appeal amid slowing sales.

Apple said orders for the iPhone Xs and Xs Max will begin September 14, and the devices will ship beginning a week later.

The well-respected analyst also expects the new Apple Watch 4 to sport a ceramic backside instead of composite glass and support advanced heart rate monitoring using electrocardiography (ECG).

Most of the buzz is swirling around a rumored iPhone with a screen that's bigger than the one on last year's dramatically designed model, the iPhone X. There's a 12MP wide-angle camera, 12MP telephoto lens, 7.2MP front camera and improved True Tone flash. While the resolution, sadly, remains the same as last year's offerings, photos taken with the new phones will apparently have the potential to come out clearer due to the devices' speed.

The XR will cost $749 and launch October 26, while the XS and XS Max will run $999 and $1,099 respectively with a September 21 release date.

'The new iPhone XR has a gorgeous new aerospace-grade aluminum and glass enclosure that has IP67 protection from liquids and dust, long all-day battery life and comes in six handsome finishes. The price being projected for this flagship model is anywhere between $1,000-$1,100. More disheartening, however, is the fact that the 3.5mm audio adapter is now a standalone accessory that isn't included with new iPhone purchases. The 6.1-inch iPhone would also have the edge-to-edge screen and Face ID, the face-detecting security feature that replaces a fingerprint sensor.

An upgraded version of the iPhone X with a 5.8-inch screen, but adding a faster processor and upgraded cameras. That file has since been pulled, with a message that the Apple Store is busy making updates.

Both models have longer battery life than the iPhone X. They come in three versions: 64GB, 256GB and 512GB.

Apple has considered calling the phone the "iPhone Xr", one of the people said. One other perk: The iPhone XR will be available in a variety of colors including black, red, white, blue, coral and yellow. "The difference between the phones is display sizes: "5.8" for XS and 6.5" for XS Max - the biggest for an iPhone yet. Face ID can be used to unlock the device and access Apple Pay.

You can pre-order the iPhone Xr beginning October 19 and it will ship on October 26.
