"And then he asked a young lady for $5, and I thought this is it".

Ruth Reed said that for three years, she's kept a resolution to help Wawa customers pay for their groceries once a week, and jumped at the chance when the man ahead of her in line in Medford, NJ, on Friday was short a few bucks. Apparently, the woman in question, Ruth Reed, makes it a common practice to "treat someone" at her local WaWa convenience store.

But as she was paying she thought to herself that the guy looked familiar.

Do people tell you that you look like Keith Urban?'.

An "urban" encounter in the suburbs of New Jersey could soon become the stuff of legend. "Do people ever tell you that you look like Keith Urban?' and he said 'I am Keith Urban, ' and I said, 'No, you're not really'".

She overheard Urban ask a companion for $5 and said he looked like he could use some help.

Reed says he thanked her and said his name was Keith. Basically, Ruth Reed is everyone's sweet mom who loves to help out strangers and also loves Keith Urban, even if she doesn't recognize him when he's starring her in the face.

Now Reed, who is very shy, has been getting a lot of attention over her interaction with Keith Urban and she only agreed to an interview on one condition, to tell others the importance of doing acts of kindness. "I said, 'OK, I don't think she would lie to some old lady'".

Reed admits she took some convincing. Still, she managed to snap a photo with Urban.
