Turkey hopes to find solution on Syria’s Idlib with Russia ZlotoNews

The Turkish top diplomat said he doesn't rule out that the United States may impose sanctions on any European country.

Russian Federation hopes that a reasonable approach will prevail in global relations and countries will return to a depoliticized dialogue, Lavrov said.

"Turkey has not done any wrong to the US, not even once".

Speaking to ambassadors in Ankara, Cavusoglu also said Turkey's relations with the European Union were on a firmer basis and normalising once again.

Angered by the continued detention of an American pastor, the USA government imposed sanctions on two cabinet ministers and threatened more.

Press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told reporters Wednesday that Andrew Brunson is "a very good person and a strong Christian who's done nothing wrong". Moscow recently declared Moscow will decrease its holdings of US assets in retaliation against increasing tariffs imposed by Trump on Russian Federation and Turkey.

The Idlib region in northern Syria is the largest remaining Syrian rebel-held enclave.

"Turkey has come to this point over irresponsible actions the U.S.in the past few years".

Murat Yetkin, commentator of Hurriyet Daily News, said that world leaders including Russia's Putin, Germany's Merkel expressed that U.S. President Donald Trump was displaying his power.

"We are against the USA or any country imposing sanctions", he added. He said the Assad government has a right to defend itself against opposition attacks and Moscow will support those operations.
