OnePlus 6T on T-Mobile, $600 off MacBook Pro

And the same will continue this year, according to a new report from CNET.

T-Mobile will be the only carrier selling the OnePlus 6T in the US. Several rumours about the new smartphone have surfaced online in the last few days, but the OnePlus 6T release date has been a mystery.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the so-called "Uncarrier" T-Mobile US is the partner OnePlus has come to an agreement with, and the magenta-coloured network provider will sell the OnePlus 6T when it launches a little later this year. This could end up being a prominent means to success in the USA market.

OnePlus has been making solid Android smartphones, offering near-flagship specifications at hundreds less than Apple, Samsung, LG, HTC, and others. As for the phone itself, it will allegedly be built with optimizations specifically for T-Mobile's network, including support for the 600MHz band of spectrum.

This collaboration, however, will not affect sales in the global market, and the device will still be compatible with both the T-Mobile network and AT&T. The OnePlus 6T is launching this fall in the United States, and for the first time in the country, OnePlus will be partnering with a carrier. And it now looks like the first carrier partnership will be with T-Mobile.

Does a OnePlus 6T that's optimized for T-Mobile and sold by T-Mo interest you?

We learned a few months ago that OnePlus was now negotiating partner terms with at least one USA carrier, but we didn't know which one. It was always pitched as a company of "flagship killers" that offers flagship specs and performance for a slightly more affordable price. Contrast that to its most recent device, the OnePlus 6, which starts at $529.
