The Buffalo Bills hosted the Carolina Panthers on Thursday at New Era Field for both of their preseason openers. That meeting was obviously going to be a little awkward after The Athletic published comments from Benjamin slamming his fit with the Panthers and Newton's football IQ.

Newton made a decision to approach Benjamin, who didn't seem inclined to talk, prior to the game. "It just felt like I wasn't in that position". Newton followed, trying to catch up, before seeming to give up.

Benjamin played with Newton for three and a half seasons in Carolina, though one of those was spent on the sidelines due to an ACL tear. Benjamin answered questions about the exchange by saying he was "moving on", although when asked what Newton said to him, Benjamin responded, "I don't know".

"If you would've put me with any other quarterback, let's be real, you know what I'm saying?" He responded on social media in his Instagram story.

Just watch the pair in action as Benjamin, who continued his beef with Cam Newton just before this game started, shreds his coverage.

When Benjamin said Newton was an inaccurate passer last week, the quarterback didn't seem bothered by it.

It's apparent that Benjamin harbors much more frustration from the situation than Newton.
