Google is also "working" with a "number of partners" to launch or upgrade devices to Android 9 this year, but unfortunately, no names are provided, so we have no idea if Samsung's Galaxy Note 9 or Galaxy S9 are on the list, for instance. These are the Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL, Pixel and Pixel XL. I'm not exactly sad that Google passed up another branding opportunity - after Android Kit-Kat and Android Oreo, we didn't really need Android Pop-Tart - but would it have been that hard to have Android Pumpkin Pie?

Google appears to have inadvertently shared the launch date for its long-awaited Pixel 3 smartphone - and is apparently looking for "influencers" to review the phone for up to $10,000 a pop.

The update to Android 9.0 Pie is a big one that adds major new features, like the gesture navigation, while also helping you to understand your usage and better your life. Help us. - and says that "Android 9 adapts to you and how you use your phone, learning your preferences as you go". Adaptive Battery will learn which apps you use the most and prioritize battery to them, while Adaptive Brightness will figure out where you like your phone's brightness in different settings and then set that for you. Despite previous suggestions that it was going to be Pistachio, it is in fact Android Pie. The source can not verify that Google shared the aforementioned date, in other words, created the ad in question, but it's highly likely that the two phones will drop on October 4. Devices from OEMs who were part of the beta program with Google will get their update before the end of fall this year. "But these features are available in beta now for Pixel phones running Android 9", wrote Samat.

Also coming to Pixel phones this fall is Digital Wellbeing.

'Once comfortable with the Pixel 3 and the creator has successfully switched over their contacts, apps, etc to their new phone, Google wants them to share their switching story with the audience'.
