She starred in the 2010 film, Valentine's Day, as well as in 2014's The Giver.

A "Cats" movie adaptation is in the works - and it's going to star none other than cat lover herself, Taylor Swift!

Meanwhile, this won't exactly be Corden's first Cats adaptation: Just last month, when Corden brought The Late Late Show to London, he did a "Crosswalk: The Musical" segment that featured him performing Andrew Lloyd Webber classics in the street.

The singer opted for a feline print mini skirt after it was revealed she'll join James Corden, Sir Ian McKellen and Jennifer Hudson in a movie remake of the musical Cats.

Cinema industry news site Variety said that Hudson, who won an Oscar for the 2006 film musical "Dreamgirls", would play Grizabella, a formerly glamorous cat who longs for acceptance.

Cats the musical is Broadway's fourth longest-running musical and the West End's sixth longest-running musical.

Multiple reports confirmed on Friday that the 28-year-old pop star is set to star in a film adaptation of the hit Broadway show, Cats.

Though we don't know how or if CG will be incorperated into the production at all, or if the effects and makeup will be practical, given Hooper's succession with Les Mis I think it's safe to say that the musical is in good hands.

The Royal Ballet's Wayne McGregor had previously been announced as the film's choreographer, while Billy Elliot's Lee Hall is reportedly on board to write the screenplay.

[The film tells] the story of a tribe of cats called the Jellicles and the night they make what is known as "the Jellicle choice" and decide which cat will ascend to the Heaviside Layer and come back to a new life...
