Stan Lee’s Ant-Man And The Wasp Cameo Revealed

Perhaps a nice nod to Avengers Infinity War rather than the actual manifestation of Thanos, this scene is nonetheless very unsettling. Hank explained that his wife did the same when on a mission and she was lost forever in the Quantum Realm.

Ant-Man and The Wasp focuses heavily on the Quantum Realm.

But just in case you did leave - or just in case you stuck around but aren't quite sure what you just witnessed - here's what you need to know about the end credits scenes of Ant-Man and the Wasp.

That first post-credits scene is definitely worth sticking around for.

Ant-Man And The Wasp was going to tie into Avengers 4, but for most of the movie, it's not on your mind.

Scott enters the quantum realm, while having radio contact with Janet, Hank, and Hope and collects the healing particles he needs when suddenly communication cuts out completely. Upstairs, the giant ant "stand in" Hope programmed to mimic Scott's routine keeps on keeping on, oblivious to the apocalypse, playing Scott's drum set.

This movie does have some hints that provide links to Avengers 4, with one of the fan theories being not so subtly confirmed.

The Quantum Realm is an unstable place, but it is vast and full of unlimited possibilities. We learned in this movie that quantum particles can literally affect the nature of reality and can cause (or, significantly, reverse) the phasing of matter between parallel universes. But with Scott presumably trapped inside the Quantum Realm, it remains to be seen how he will escape.

Thanos' face can be seen smiling in the clouds of the Quantum Realm behind him.

What happens: Ant-Man and the Wasp closes with the usual reassurance that "Ant-Man and the Wasp will return". and then, a beat later, finishes it off with a question mark. Of course, there's the chance that Scott just got lucky enough to not be one of the people randomly chosen, but he's atypical for the surviving group in that he wasn't one of the original Avengers, which is one of the major commonalities between almost all of the remaining heroes post-Infinity War.
