"It was supposed to be this big time, Showtime documentary and it was passed onto me by a speaker's bureau - which I would assume had done some vetting", Palin said to Robin Roberts today. An email seeking comment from Baron Cohen has not been returned.

Sarah Palin fired back at Sacha Baron Cohen during an appearance on Good Morning America Friday, while also sharing new details of the interview he duped her into taping for his Showtime series.

Palin, the 2008 USA vice-presidential candidate, says she was tricked into an interview, ostensibly about American veterans, by a person dressed as a disabled U.S. serviceman.

The former Governor of Arkansas and Republican Vice Presidential candidate is known for her outspoken anti-LGBT views.

"It just got worse and worse and worse as the minutes went on in this freaky, really humiliating interview", Palin added. "I was in the service- not military, but United Parcel... and I only fought for my country once- when I shot a Mexican who came onto my property".

While we don't know if Moore will actually be featured in the show, the disgraced former judge confirmed he was interviewed by Cohen in a statement obtained by NBC News.

The seven-episode series marks Baron Cohen's first television project in a decade after he launched his comedy career as subversive white English rapper Ali G., whose interviews included Donald Trump and Newt Gingrich.

"I did not say I was a war vet", the proclaimed "founder/ceo/accountant of" asserted.

Palin and Moore both criticized Cohen's approach, with Moore saying that he would "never hide my identity and deceive others only to mock and ridicule them", and referring to Showtime as a "shadowy media group". It mocked the disabled and it just got worse and worse'. I mean, you read a line like that and you know, man, this guy he just doesn't quit.

"Vice-President Palin", the letter began. "But see CBS and Showtime, they're going to be pimping this thing hard, so they're going to hear about it, anyway". As she recalled, the interviewer she believed to be Cohen started showing her graphs with typos and statistics involving transgender propaganda that didn't look right to her.
