Citing eight employees, it went on to say, "Spacey made the set of Netflix's "House of Cards" into a "toxic" work environment through a pattern of sexual harassment".

Netflix made the decision to fire Spacey in the wake of the harassment and abuse allegations. Not much, per the actress' interview with Savannah Guthrie on the Today show. "I knew the incredible craftsman he is".

Robin Wright was exclusively responsible for enabling the return of House of Cards after the Kevin Spacey scandal, her co-star Patricia Clarkson claimed. "We forged ahead and we were so thankful that we were able to complete the series as planned", Wright said on Today.

It is the first time she has spoken about her relationship with Spacey since the allegations came to light towards the end of previous year.

The sixth season, which will follow Wright's character, will not feature Spacey.

The character became the U.S. president at the end of the last season, a position previously held by her on-screen husband. [We had a] respectful, professional relationship. "He was so great with me", she said of Spacey.

As recently as last week, accusations against Spacey have continued to mount with British police revealing that three additional accusers have come forward in addition to the half dozen who have already accused Spacey of varying degrees of sexual misconduct.

Rapp claims Spacey tried to seduce him sexually when he was just a 14-year-old boy. "I think that everybody felt that it was respectful to back off".

When asked if firing Spacey was the right movie, Wright answered, "I don't know how to comment on that".

"This story has encouraged me to address other things about my life". "I think it's gonna be a stunning, stunning new season". "This a year ago, I think, has shined a light, in a way, to allow us to start a new conversation".
