Eriksen enjoyed a decent campaign with Denmark at this summer's World Cup and will return to the Spurs camp for the new season looking to help them end their trophy drought under Pochettino.

Another of Barcelona's objectives for this summer also plays at Stamford Bridge: Eden Hazard.

Chelsea will resist any move to lure Hazard away, but may feel a £150m offer is too good to turn down. They're not sure who's coming in, it could be Sarri.

Terreur wrote on Twitter: "There have been contacts between Barcelona and Eden Hazard, but no negotiations - a very expensive operation that they can't afford at the moment".

Nevertheless, losing a player of his talent would be a devastating blow to the Blues and arriving manager, Maurizio Sarri.

With Los Blancos all-time leading goalscorer Ronaldo off to Italian side Juventus, Spanish publication Marca conducted a pool of 200,000 Real supporters, with 15 percent choosing Hazard and 14 percent in favour of bringing former Barcelona man Neymar to the Bernabeu this summer. Chelsea not willing to sell him.

As Everton are a relatively modest club, he may be tempted by the allure of Chelsea as the Blues could offer him a better chance in terms of challenging for the Premier League title and major trophies.

However, while all may appear well for Chelsea, Terreur does state that things with Real Madrid could alter quickly.
