Lunar eclipse: Rare 'blood moon' will be visible in the United Kingdom tonight

Cloud cover over Dundee and Tayside could blot out views of one of the longest lunar eclipses this century.

According to AccuWeather, the entirety of the total lunar eclipse will be visible across most of Africa and central Asia.

Tonight the Red Planet will shine bright as it will be at opposition, sandwiched between the sun and Earth.

The next total lunar eclipse will happen on January 21st, 2019. That's about the middle of the afternoon here in Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
