"I think my first idea is to have five captains in the team", Emery added. Stephan Lichtsteiner, Bernd Leno, Sokratis, Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi have all joined the club this summer. "Only if he is a big opportunity".

Torreira becomes Unai Emery's fourth signing of the summer transfer window as the new man in charge at Arsenal looks to assemble a squad capable of challenging for trophies next season.

Emery, 46, was appointed as head coach following Arsene Wenger's departure at the end of last season and - while he admits he needs to get to know his players better - he wants to have a host of players ready to step in as captain.

The midfielder was part of the Uruguay squad at this summer's World Cup and he completed his move after his country were knocked out by France.

"We are looking at, looking for, who are the players whose personality is the best in the dressing room".

So, it seems that Unai Emery isn't desperate for another signing but will certainly make a move if a player comes up.

"We will only sign another player if there is an opportunity to bring in that one player, or two players".

The Sevilla midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates and has reportedly handed in a transfer request in Spain.

"I know him [N'Zonzi] but we didn't do movement for him", he said. He only has a year left on his current deal. "It's clear that we have [a lot] of goalkeepers but we want to work in the future with three goalkeepers in the first team".

"I have said to Ivan [Gazidis], Raul [Sanllehi] and Sven [Mislintat] that I think he is an important player for me". "I want to win titles, titles, titles", said Guendouzi, who will wear #29 with the Gunners.

"I am convinced that Arsenal are now the ideal team for him to continue his growth path". "Every training is with the ambition I want, working with quality and the competitive spirit I want".

Guendouzi, a France U20 global, said that Arsenal is his dream club, one that he wanted to play for since childhood.
