Apple Rumoured To Make iPhones Colourful Again

The new base model iPhone, expected to have a 6.1-inch LCD screen, will be coming in blue, orange, and red, in addition to the usual gray and white.

But gold and Product (RED) aside, Apple seems to view color as signifying cheaper iPhones.

KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reported that an entry-level line of 6.1-inch LCD display iPhones may sport these new color schemes.

The final device Apple is planning to release isn't technically a new device; Rather, it will be an iPhone X with slightly beefier specs. But the 6.1 inch mid-range model will come in a variety of colors like blue, orange, red, black, white, and gold.

Apple is expected to release three iPhones later in 2018, roughly designed like the current iPhone X, but in three sizes: one the same as the X, one a bit smaller, and one about the size of an iPhone 8 Plus.

Kuo believes that the 2018 6.5-inch iPhone X Plus will carry a $999 price tag which is similar to the existing 5.8-inch iPhone X.

This isn't like the Rose Gold color we've seen on some previous Apple handsets though, we would expect it to look more like the iPhone SE's gold shade.

Apple's next iPhones will be getting a welcome splash of color.

Kuo expects the LCD model to be most popular of the three.

This is all speculation at the moment, but it comes from Kuo who has often been correct about iPhone rumors in the past. The top tier 6.5-inch iPhone will share those colors as well as the dual camera and will cost $1000.
