It's nowhere near as popular as Apple and Samsung, but OnePlus does have that dedicated fanbase - a fanbase that purchased over a million OnePlus 6 devices within the first 22 days of sale.

Since before OnePlus launched, we've always taken care to listen closely to our users and deliver smartphones which combine design and power.

The OnePlus 6 has also become the company's fastest selling smartphone as it is a sharp upward hike from the OnePlus 5T, which, until now, was OnePlus' best selling smartphone.

Earlier this year, the OnePlus 6 launch event sold-out with over 1,000 tickets bought in under 10 hours, and now the community continues to grow with over five million people across the world.

OnePlus has also announced a "Community Celebration Season" from June 15 to June 26 during which it will offer deals on OnePlus 6. That's how long it took to sell that many phones - quicker than the "within three months" the OnePlus 5T and OnePlus 5 each took. There is also a referral programme on Amazon India that will allow customers to receive an extended warranty of three months by referring to a contact. Under the hood, it has a Snapdragon 845 SoC, coupled with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. The front panel is a 6.28-inch full Optic AMOLED display with a 19:9 aspect ratio, offering an impressive 84 per cent screen to body ratio. On the other hand, the OnePlus 6 Marvel Avengers Limited Edition has been launched at a price tag of Rs. 44,999 in India.

While that sales number pales in comparison to Apple's iPhone or Samsung's Galaxy phone sales, which usually reach the tens of millions shortly after a new model's release, OnePlus founder Pete Lau says he's perfectly satisfied. So they won't work on Verizon, the biggest carrier, or on Sprint. "We are touched by the trust that 1 million people have placed in us and are grateful for the loyalty they have displayed". The OnePlus 6 also does not feature industry-leading waterproofing because "you're not going diving with it" although it works fine in the rain and can even play music in the shower, Lau said.
