That could have been a huge danger, as there are a lot of people who are angry at Miller over the cruel policies he has reportedly pushed inside the White House. One outside White House adviser has called Miller a Nazi and Rep. Mike Coffman (R-Colo.) urged Trump to fire him on Thursday.

"The President should fire Stephen Miller now", Coffman said.

Meanwhile, as Splinter pointed out, hate speech still runs rampant on Twitter all day long.

"At this time, the number that was previously being shared is no longer a valid number and, as such, we are no longer enforcing our policy against individuals Tweeting or linking to that information", Twitter told Buzzfeed.

Splinter slammed Twitter by highlighting a number of still-active tweets that would appear to violate the company's rules. "For the moment, it seems Jack Dorsey is much more interested in placating conservative users, who've long claimed the platform is biased against them". Twitter has been dogged for years by its inability to effectively curb harassment on its platform and for allowing bad actors to game its report system to use its policing tools against upstanding users.

Twitter's terms of service strictly prohibit "doxxing", or publicly posting someone else's personal information such their private phone number, physical address, or email address, without their "express authorization and permission".

White House advisor Stephen Miller got heckled and was called a "fascist" at a Mexican restaurant, according to the New York Post. Lindsey Graham's and Univision anchor Jorge Ramos' numbers in 2016. Similarly, when does Miller's number - now out in the open - become public information, if ever?

Twitter has since said it's stopped locking out users who tweeted Miller's number because he's changed the number. So after Splinter published the article with Miller's phone number, the platform temporarily blocked reporters from the publication, the publication itself, and anyone else directly tweeting the phone number.
