Darth Vader? Maybe the game will feature some other famous Star Wars faces.

While we wait for more information, the bigger announcements for Battlefront II, which includes the Solo: A Star Wars Story mission on Kessel, included another impending DLC involving The Clone Wars.

Star Wars: Jedi: Fallen Order is now in development and has a tentative Holiday 2019 release date. According to the website, the story turns around a Padawan (a trainee Jedi, and nearly certainly the player character) who survives Order 66 (the aforementioned liquidation of the Jedi).

Firstly, let's look at the studio: Respawn Entertainment. Given how we know nothing else about the game, it's likely the tease won't be more than that: a tease. The studio is known for its multiplayer first-person shooters "Titanfall" and "Titanfall 2". Although, with a name like Jedi, there is also the possibility that we could be seeing something in which we're wielding a lightsaber and using Force powers.

Since this is an area that hasn't been extensively explored in the new Star Wars canon, this has the potential to be a really exciting game. And while just the mention of "Jedi" is enough to get me excited, there are many, many more things to suggest that this could be a dream game set in a galaxy far, far away. "And we, like you all, have no shortage of Star Wars passion".

Players assume the role of a surviving Jedi Padawan in an original story that takes place in the Dark Times when the Jedi are being hunted.
