Meghan, Duchess of Sussex accompanies Queen in first royal engagements

Meghan, 36, memorably debuted the dress May 19 when she and her groom, Prince Harry, drove off from Windsor Castle in a blue Jaguar to their evening wedding reception at Frogmore House, hosted by Prince Charles.

They wore contrasting colors, the duchess choosing a cream Givenchy pencil dress and the queen in a lime green coat-dress and matching hat.

During their first solo outing on Thursday in Cheshire, England, Meghan wore a lovely pair of earrings, which she received from Queen as a gift.

According to the Daily Mail's royal correspondent, Rebecca English, Markle was asked about Prince Harry during her excursion with the the Queen, and revealed that he is the "best husband ever". For her wedding day, Markle stuck with a more traditional style with a pastel pink shade that may have been Essie's Mademoiselle, or the Queen's favorite Ballet Slippers.

This marks Meghan's first royal appearances without her husband, Prince Harry.

In an interview with ET on Monday, Oprah shot down rumors that she had showered the bride's mom with gifts in the hopes of getting an exclusive interview.

She told The Express: "Meghan's mirroring of Kate now involves wardrobe and body language mimicry and this reflects a degree of submission to show a desire for rapport and team acceptance".

The Queen and Meghan's public outing is the first time the new Duchess has been seen out with the Queen without any other members of the royal family.

The Buckingham Palace confirmed the same to E! They also watched a performance by a dance theatre company for people in recovery from addiction, as well as a medley of songs from Storyhouse's latest production, A Little Night Music. After a performance by some of the local children, the Queen formally opened the bridge.

The Swedish royal, who is married to Prince Carl Philip, wore the elegant lookalike dress to attend the 2018 Polar Music Prize Award ceremony in Sweden yesterday.
