Battlefield V was announced and received a chaotic in-engine trailer last month, and today at the EA Play event, DICE unveiled a full multiplayer gameplay trailer.

Players who pre-order any edition, of the game with the Battlefield V Enlister Offer will get early access to the Open Beta as well as in-game benefits such as soldier customisation options, access to Special Assignments, and access to five weapons to use in Battlefield 1. Sadly, no details regarding this mode were revealed today, other than the developer saying that it will be true to the Battlefield formula.

"No loot boxes, no premium pass", they confirmed to audience applause.

Electronic Arts revealed that Battlefield V will have a battle royale mode during its press conference at E3 on Saturday, an announcement that comes just weeks after Activision revealed Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will be doing the same. Check out the new E3 2018 multiplayer trailer below. Players will have the ability to dive and smash through windows and move around heavy turrets from their fixed position.

"It will be unlike anything you've played before, and we'll have more to talk about later this year", the developers teased.

EA is promising that every battle in Battlefield V will be unique, in part because of the new choices available to players. And of course, that means a battle royale mode.

Battlefield V launches in October for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
