Where is Fallout 76 set?

For people who aren't huge fans of playing online, Howard suggested that the online portion of Fallout: 76 is optional.

Fallout: 76 is the eighth installment in the Fallout franchise, which was picked up by Bethesda after having already released four games, which included two main games, and two spin off titles.

Each Fallout game has had some pretty cool collectors editions but the Fallout 4 one took the lead with the Pip-Boy you could actually wear.

One of the few humans tolerated by the swampfolk is a local moonshiner, because of course the swampfolk love moonshine.

The standard edition of Fallout 76 is the most basic version.

Initially made available for mobile devices in 2015, Fallout Shelter's popularity encouraged Bethesda to expand the game's reach to Windows 10 PCs in 2016 and the Xbox One in 2017. While unlikely, the Power Armor Edition of Fallout 76 could end up being restocked.

Will there be a Fallout 76 Beta?

It's clear that, like 2015 and 2011, 2018 is going to be a year that Bethesda has a lock down when it comes to big blockbuster games and award ceremonies. Information received not too long ago suggested that this would be some kind of a multiplayer experience.

To help iron out some of the kinks that can befall online games - and their offline ones for that matter - Bethesda will be running a Break-it Early Test Application, or beta if you prefer, with more details on that to come.

Check out the multiplayer gameplay for the upcoming multiplayer Fallout title in the video below. Prior to selling out, the Power Armor Edition sold for $199.

Is Fallout 76 all you hoped and dreamed it would be?

You plan to invest a lot of time into Fallout 76.

On a amusing note, McElroy, who had needled the game's designer Todd Howard recently on social media about targeting West Virginia because of past Polygon press from he and fellow former Polygon writer Griffin McElroy, said he hopes his house survives the "fallout" of the new game that is set to be released this fall.

Fallout 76 will have the same level of customization and detail as its offline singleplayer predecessors, and will take players across six regions with their own "styles, risks and rewards". Among the many features described by Todd Howard was one particularly destructive one; there are a number of nuclear missile silos scattered across Fallout 76's world map.

Reclamation Day, 2102. Twenty-five years after the bombs fall, you and your fellow Vault Dwellers-chosen from the nation's best and brightest - emerge into post-nuclear America.

It would be odd, however, if there were no references to the way the world is in later games.

As we told you last month, this isn't a traditional Fallout adventure. Fallout 76 also features brand new graphics, lighting, and landscape technology. Post-nuclear America has never looked so lovely! Using the C.A.M.P system, you can craft a settlement anywhere, and move it where ever you want. But beware, not everyone will be quite so neighborly.
