No, seriously, he's literally in an astronaut suit as Neil Armstrong for the upcoming biopic directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Damien Chazelle.

As noted by NME, the trailer first appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live", where Gosling and Kimmel wore spacesuits for the "first-ever interview in space".

The film marks the second collaboration between Chazelle and Gosling after their critically acclaimed musical La La Land (2016).

Following the first poster drop earlier today, Universal Pictures has released the first trailer for First Man. A visceral, first-person account, based on the book by James R. Hansen, the movie will explore the sacrifices and the cost-on Armstrong and on the nation-of one of the most risky missions in history.

Alongside Gosling, "First Man" also stars Pablo Schreiber, Kyle Chandler, and Jason Clarke. "DreamWorks Pictures co-finances the film". We see Armstrong getting off the space capsule to earn the title of 'First Man on the Moon'. On its opening weekend, it will only have one direct competitor, Sony's Goosebumps: Haunted Halloween, but there will be nine more movies arriving on the weeks before and after First Man. It opens in theaters on October 12th. She imagines her husband travelling 240,000 miles to land on the moon, telling her husband that it wasn't just another trip, adding that he isn't just "going to work". Watch the first trailer below.
