First Lady Melania Trump paid an unannounced visit to the U.S. -Mexico border on Thursday, one day after President Donald Trump signed an Executive Order to keep families together amid an outcry over his Administration's policy that was tearing them apart. "We all know that they're here without their families, and I want to thank you for your hard work, your compassion and your kindness you're giving them in these difficult times". But he also said "zero tolerance" on illegal immigration continues, and children will be held with their parents while the adults are prosecuted. They have also called on the Trump administration to make sure now separated children are reunited with their parents as soon as possible.

"She absolutely wanted to come", Grisham said. According to The Daily Mail-and later confirmed by her spokesperson-the First Lady wore a green jacket with "I REALLY DON'T CARE, DO U?" written on the back.

Mrs. Trump, whose focus as first lady is on child well-being, appears to have been among those pushing her husband to act.
