Courtney Hadwin Receives Golden Buzzer After 'AGT' Audition

13-year-old Courtney Hadwin won judge Howie Mandel's golden buzzer on America's Got Talent, after performing an awesome version of "Hard to Handle" by Otis Redding.

Her super-strong vocal performance thrilled Simon Cowell and the other judges - Spice Girl Mel B, model Heidi Klum and actor Howie Mandel.

She left with a "Golden Buzzer" pass to the live shows. "It was the first time Janis Joplin got signed and that changed her life".

After appearing nervous on stage, Courtney Hadwin performed an energetic rendition of Hard to Handle by Otis Redding, later covered by the Black Crowes.

Courtney Hadwin pictured aged 10 has been praised for her powerful voice.

"I'm not Clive Davis, I'm Howie Mandel". It is a talent show that features singers, dancers, magicians, comedians, and other performers of all ages competing for the advertised top prize of one million dollars.

Courtney had previously been a finalist on The Voice Kids UK, but has gained plenty of new fans - Twitter exploding after her performance. Watch the video to see her awesome performance.

She's not the first British act to do well in America's Got Talent, with Wimbledon ventriloquist Paul Zerdin winning the 2015 series.

When the song ended she got a standing ovation, much to her dad's delight, who was watching with host Tyra Banks from backstage.

She tweeted her thanks Tuesday night. "The only thing I can do for you young lady is give you this".

"She is really shy", her father says at her audition for America's Got Talent.
