However, it's possible that the system has been tweaked in some way to accommodate for improvements or even just the highly cinematic nature of the original Resident Evil 2 camera system. They also revealed new details on how zombies will now actively be affected when damaged alone with more details on this reimagined version of Raccoon City. "The first look at E3 is just a taste of what's to come".

Later today, we're expecting to see more Resident Evil 2 Remake gameplay drop around 4pm PST. Now, 20 years after the original release of Resident Evil 2, it's time to return to Raccoon City.

The developers have announced that Resident Evil 2 Remake is going to have something for both veterans and those who are totally new to the survival horror series.

Like the original found on the first iteration of the PlayStation, players will have the option of choosing to play between Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield. The fate of these two fan favorite characters is in players hands as they work together to survive and get to the bottom of what is behind the terrifying attack on the city.

A whole new perspective - New over-the-shoulder camera mode and modernized control scheme creates a more modern take on the survival horror experience and offers players a trip down memory lane with the original gameplay modes from the 1998 release. Will they make it out alive? The remake of Resident Evil 2 is coming to PlayStation 4 in January 2019! "T$3 he characters themselves appear sharper than ever and the grotesque hordes of zombies are brought to life with a horrifyingly realistic wet gore effect", it said. Simply known as Resident Evil 2, this remake has been made in Capcom's proprietary RE Engine, the same engine behind last year's rather excellent Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.
