"Kaleido is the first Software-as-a-Service featuring popular Ethereum packages Geth and Quorum, and is offered in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS)". "[Kaleido's] a new Blockchain Business Cloud aimed at speeding and simplifying enterprises' journey to using the technology".

The result is that blockchain is more accessible and easier for customers to use, and even faster for them to connect blockchain solutions to AWS services securely.

Amazon Internet Services Pvt Ltd (AISPL), an Amazon company, on Tuesday announced five Indian partners as winners who helped customers drive innovation and build solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud.

Kaleido provides a full solution for those ready for something more than do-it-yourself scripts or templates, streamlining the process of standing up secure, private blockchain networks without sacrificing the ability to customize the environment. "What Salesforce did for CRMs, Kaleido will do for blockchain".

Kaleido operates by integrating the greater security and diversification of the public blockchain, or Ethereum main net, with private chains. These networks offer all of the benefits of the underlying blockchain technology, while still maintaining the necessary levels of robustness, security, and performance, it explained.

It will have the capabilities to link between private networks and public Ethereum mainnet, integrated analytics, support for a variety of protocols, and consensus mechanisms including RAFT, POA and IBFT. "By permanently anchoring the private chain to the public blockchain through the Kaleido Relay, a network of companies can further reduce risk of after-the-fact collusion going unnoticed". But Kaleido is a blockchain business cloud, and enterprise is in its DNA.

This new partnership makes it the first blockchain SaaS solution that will be available on AWS Marketplace, with hope that it will give them opportunity to carry on with blockchain technology.

"AWS's innovative technologies have been very beneficial as we have grown our public cloud footprint over the years, and that is why we've chosen to expand our strategic relationship", Atte Lahtiranta, Oath's CTO, said in a statement at the time. "In partnership with ConsenSys and running on the Kaleido platform, we successfully accelerated Project i2i into active pilot without the complexity and cost of starting from scratch".

Big companies like Microsoft are seeing opportunities in blockchain technology lately.

"The Enterprise Ethereum Alliance is a large and vibrant community", said Ron Resnick, Executive Director, Enterprise Ethereum Alliance.

After Facebook announced its intention last week to go into blockchain technology, Amazon has also opened up that it is partnering with Kaleido, a start-up built on Ethereum blockchain.

The creator of the Ethereum blockchain platform, which is precisely what Kaleido and AWS will be using, stated this is the most significant move yet by the tech giant to move into Blockchain.
