With Man City now having wrapped up their third Premier League title, questions are being asked as to exactly how any team could even think of challenging them next season. Pep Guardiola's men smashed the record for most points and most goals scoring in a Premier League season, 100 and 106 respectively, as they comprehensively cruised to the title.

The City No.21, who finished what may be his best ever season in sky blue with 10 goals and 13 assists in all competitions, was absent from Monday's celebrations but sent in a wonderful message that was shown on the big screen.

We'll have some good beer, good red wine, and enjoy what we have done. Otherwise, it has been a wonderful season in the blue half of Manchester, and one pundit has claimed that this is now the Citizens' chance to go on and dominate the English top flight for years to come.

Around 100,000 fans are estimated to have lined the route, which took the players from Victoria Street to Deansgate via Albert Square. We are delighted to share what we have done together.

The 24-year-old could have played his last match for the club as his contract expires next month and speculation has continually linked him with a move away.

The only two players who were missing were striker Sergio Aguero, who has returned to Argentina for treatment on his knee ahead of the World Cup, and midfielder David Silva. Manchester City has been in scintillating form since the start of the season and they were able to set breathtaking new standards in raw statistical domination. It's massive. 100 points in the Premier League - you can not imagine. I will be in debt with you forever. "You can not achieve what we achieve in terms of many records if you are not a humble team, professional, (that) has that desire to win".

Silva also expressed his gratitude to long-serving team-mate Yaya Toure, who is leaving City this summer. I told you the other day it was a pleasure to play with you my friend.

"I wish you the best of luck".

Belgian Kevin de Bruyne, arguably City's star player of the campaign, was taken aback by the enthusiasm of the thousands of flag-waving fans.
