The leaks come from reputed leaker Evan Blass who has also shared the specification sheet of the smartphone along with an image that reveals the complete design of the handset. This is not the first time that a leaked render has appeared online as we have already seen a couple of leaks in the last few months.

Moving to the cameras, the HTC U12+ comes with dual cameras on its back: one 12-megapixel wide-angle camera with an f/1.75 aperture lens and a 16-megapixel telephoto camera with an f/2.6 aperture lens capable of 2x zoom. The phone will be IP68 water and dust resistant as well. To the front is an 8MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture.

The HTC U12+ will feature a 6-inch, Quad HD+ display.

Camera options on the HTC U12+ include a dual Ultrapixel rear camera setup. The cameras will have optical image stabilization, support for AR stickers and HDR Boost 2.

As expected we're getting the second generation Edge Sense technology, which enables users to control the user interface with a light squeeze. The leak also hints at AR stickers. The renders for the phone show that the BoomSound implementation won't feature front-facing speakers. There will be a microSD card slot (compatible up to 2TB cards) for storage expansion. Further, the phone features 4K video recording at 60fps, slow-motion videos at 240fps.

As usual, there's no headphone jack as audio is pushed via USB-C. On the connectivity front, the phone supports 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, NFC, GPS, AGPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou and dual SIM.

With the help of the 3500mAh battery, you will be able to charge the device up to 50 percent in 30 minutes.
