Alongside Anthem's EA PLAY Demo, Battlefield is expected to get a demo version of the game as well, which is going to be playable in this year's EA Play event.

Battlefield V is now without an official release date, and has yet to be announced for specific platforms. "Tune in on May 23 for a first look into how your epic journey with Battlefield V will be".

EA have confirmed that the new entry in their long-running shooter series will be called Battlefield V, and have detailed exactly when to expect the May 23 reveal.

Following some teasers that indicated a reveal of the Battlefield game would be coming sometime soon, a new section of Battlefield's website has now been erected that provides more details on the upcoming reveal.

The site also offers a cryptic message in closing that says "Battlefield will never be the same".

EA and DICE are turning to Comedy Central comedian Trevor Noah to help them announce Battlefield 2018.

The Battlefield V Reveal is scheduled to hit your favourite streaming platform on May 23 at 1 p.m. PT/4 p.m. ET. While he doesn't explicitly use the Roman numeral for "5" in the advertisement, Noah does tease that "V" will be a part of the final title by writing "V EXCITING" and sipping from a mug with the letter on it in the embedded video. EA will be livestreaming the reveal event on both and on YouTube, with the page for the stream already up and running.
