After the Federal Bureau of Investigation raid and the Syria crisis, Trump abruptly cancelled his trip to South America on Tuesday. The United States responded with 58 missile strikes that destroyed 20 percent of the Syrian Air Force.

It is reported that at the summit of the Americas in Peru, where the Pens went instead to US President Donald trump, he said that the regime of Bashar al-Assad and his "backers" will have to pay if they again use chemical weapons against the civilian population.

President Donald Trump is warning Russian Federation and Iran about their association with Syrian strongman Bashar al-Assad's government, as he announces the launch of retaliatory strikes after an apparent chemical weapons attack last week.

In his speech, which lasted just under 10 minutes, he also posed a question to Iran and Russia, "What kind of a nation wants to be associated with the mass murder of women and children?"

Trump calls the two countries those "most responsible for supporting, equipping and financing the criminal Assad regime".

Mr. Trump also called out Iran and Russian Federation.

So today, the nations of Britain, France and the United States of America have marshaled their righteous power against barbarism and brutality.

The strikes appear to signal Trump's willingness to draw the United States more deeply into the Syrian conflict. We are prepared to sustain this response until the Syrian regime stops its use of prohibited chemical agents.

The Trump administration "could walk right back in with the exact same deal from past year that they walked out of, and claim victory", said Smith, who noted that the government of Abe "has been continuously and quietly encouraging the US administration to take another look" at the pact.

"The objective of our actions tonight is to establish a strong deterrent against the production, spread and use of chemical weapons", he said.

Trump's decision to reconsider the deal comes as the White House tries to find ways to protect the agriculture sector, which could be badly damaged by the president's trade approach. A combined operation with the armed forces of France and the United Kingdom is now underway.

"So there is no practicable alternative to the use of force to degrade and deter the use of chemical weapons by the Syrian regime", May said.

President Donald Trump is set to address the nation Friday night amid anticipation of a retaliatory strike for an apparent Syrian chemical weapon attack last week.

The strikes are meant to send a clear message to Assad and "his murderous lieutenants" that they should not perpetrate any more chemical weapons attacks "for which they will be held accountable", Mattis said. Explosions lit up the skies over Damascus, the Syrian capital, as Trump spoke from the White House.

After calling the deal "a disaster" during his presidential campaign, Trump withdrew the USA from the 12-member pact with a memorandum on January 2017 - three days after his inauguration.

Both Democrats and Republicans attacked the deal during the presidential campaign, but many business leaders were disappointed when Trump withdrew from the agreement, arguing that the United States would end up with less favorable terms attempting to broker an array of individual trade pacts and that scrapping the deal would empower China.
