Set to be deployed next week, EA and DICE have announced that Star Wars Battlefront II will be receiving the "Night on Endor" update, adding a new limited-time Ewok Hunt mode in which you can play as an Ewok defending your homeland or a Stormtrooper looking to escape an Ewok ambush. If the Empire's forces have been completely eliminated, the Ewoks win and their celebration can begin.

After the Night on Endor update though EA are hoping to draw a line under the whole debacle, with all the new content after this being classified as "season two".

He also attempted to assuage fears about microtransactions in upcoming EA games as well, stating, "For games that come next, for Battlefield or for Anthem, [players have] made it very clear that we can't afford to make similar mistakes".

However, the stormtroopers superior training and firepower are more than a match for the frantic Ewoks.

The new mode is called Ewok Hunt and recreates the Battle of Endor. Following backlash (and maybe some persuasion from Disney) EA suspended all microtransactions within the game.

The update also marks the return of Crystals, Battlefront II's real-world currency used to buy "appearances" for heroes, villains, and troopers. Whenever a stormtrooper dies, they respawn as an Ewok. Moreover, it now allows players to purchase appearance-related items with Crystals and/or Credits. More than 50 new Appearances are coming in the update, including Wounded Chewbacca, Scarred Kylo Ren, Administrator Lando, and 40 new Trooper Appearances.

The update goes live on April 18 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, and includes various other tweaks and balance fixes.

"Seasons will focus around a specific theme (such as a new Star Wars film, or an anniversary in the Star Wars Universe) and will usually span multiple months".
